MOSERFORM is a new line offered by Thos. Moser Cabinetmakers. It began as Tom Moser’s quest to find inspiration for unique, relevant furniture forms to be appreciated by the most discerning interior design professionals and customers. Under Tom’s direction, a small, select group of designers, craftspeople and artisans collaborated to create sophisticated, elegant forms without constraint. This journey has as its origin, the Art Nouveau movement of late 19th century Europe.
Drawing upon a robust 35 years of designing and building furniture deeply rooted in American, European, and Asian history, Tom Moser has expanded the scope of his exploration with MOSERFORM. Traveling the globe, this new line brings you reflections of journeys, ranging from cultural renaissance and dramatic world events, to nearly lost art forms and colloquial crafts from remote parts of the planet. The result of this exploration is the Sabina Collection.
Thos. Moser was founded thirty-five years ago to restore the lost art of fine woodworking. Tom Moser, formerly a Bates college professor, left teaching in 1972 to start making one-of-a-kind furniture in an old grange hall in New Gloucester, Maine. Moser's early designs bore a strong resemblance to Shaker, Queen Anne, Pennsylvania Dutch and other antique forms. Thos. Moser furniture is sold at retail showrooms acorss the country.
